Safeguarding Policy

It's important to us that we protect everyone who encounters our Charity and its work from abuse or harm.

This is managed through our safeguarding policy and procedures.

We do this by:

  • Ensuring there is a regular review of our safeguarding policy and procedures, which are adapted to meet changes to current legislation and guidance.  We inform everyone concerned of any amendments to our policy.

  • Supplying regular and updated safeguarding training to our trustees and volunteers.

  • Providing an accessible and robust safeguarding process to anyone coming into contact with our Charity that addresses their concerns and disclosures in accordance with our safeguarding policy and procedures.

  • Displaying information and contact details of those involved in the Charity's safeguarding process at every carers' clinic.

  • The presence of a trustee designated to oversee all safeguarding issues connected to the Charity and its work.

  • The appointment of a safeguarding lead.
