NEWS FROM 2017!
LOUISES GREAT GLEN WALK
As many of you may remember, the daughter of our Treasurer was brave enough to walk the whole of the Great Glen Way for sponsorship to go towards Harlequin Care.
She raised a staggering £1,982!!!!
Thank you so much Louise.
Special thanks to Corfe Castle Model Village
Again for another year, with the thanks to Ed and Emily, Corfe Model Village have very kindly given us the money collected from the exhibit. This was an amazing £775.
Clothes Sale by the Ladies of Wool Church
Many thanks to some of the ladies of Wool Church who organised a Clothes Sale for our benefit and managed to raise £272.
We were also very lucky to be able to host a fundraising day at CHARLBOROUGH PARK and get to see what was behind those amazing walls.
Even though we didn't have the best weather we had a lovely day and made an impressive £717.
Again In June we were able to fundraise in the Coop in Swanage, and just in one day the public were good enough to donate £363. This was our second year of doing this and we hope to do again in 2018, but we have no date as of yet.
WAREHAM LIONS were good to us again and gave us a donation of £300.
We also had some lovely donations from carers one in memory of Jock Moran.
Also for a second year in August family and friend volunteers of Harlequin went to Swanage to help shake buckets and guide people in the Swanage Regatta and Carnival. The committee were amazed with our support and awarded us with an amazing £600.
We can't thank the people, organising and volunteering for us at all of these events enough.
Without them we would be lost and unable to function as a charity.
We would also like to thank all of the people that have put their loose change in the Pods around the county. These made an amazing £395. You can't miss our pods; they are bright yellow so keep filling them up.
And finally, we want to thank all the people in and visiting Lulworth for their continued support over the years for THE BUCKET TREE. Even tho the tree is no longer there, people still have been supporting Harlequin by putting money in the bucket. This collected anther £511 last year but unfortunately it will be no more.
